Delegates Elected to the Democratic National Convention!

Congratulations to our SLOCDP members elected as delegates to the Democratic National Convention!  Elected members are Pat Harris, Susan Devine, Lori Caudil and Cory Black!

SLOCDP endorsed candidates on the June 5 Primary Ballot are listed under ELECTIONS / VOTING.  Congresswoman Lois Capps, Bill Monning for State Senate, District 3 Supervisor Adam Hill and Morro Bay City Council Noah Smukler.

Lois Capps Opens Campaign Headquarters in SLO

Congresswoman Lois Capps has opened a campaign office at 1404 Broad St., SLO (next door to the SLOCDP office).   Stop by and help make some calls!  Office hours Monday through Friday, 10 to 6 with special Farmers Market phone bank on Thursday nights.

Bill Monning Running for Senate Seat

The new Senate District 17 runs from Santa Cruz through SLO county.  Sam Blakeslee has announced he will not re-run for the seat.

Who and What We Are

The San Luis Obispo County Democratic Party (SLOCDP), also referred to as the SLO County Democratic Central Committee, is the local body of the California State Democratic Party.

As the voice of the Democratic Party in San Luis Obispo County, the mission of the SLOCDP  is to support and elect Democratic candidates who reflect Democratic Party values, and to promote Democratic principles.   To accomplish these goals, the SLOCDP  registers Democratic voters, raises funds, organizes and supports local Democratic Clubs, and performs other duties and services for the overall benefit of the Democratic Party in San Luis Obispo County.  SLOCDP acts as an information hub for the county, disseminating the message, philosophy and principles of the Party through voter outreach and networking.

Officially, the SLOCDP endorses candidates, propositions, initiatives and/or measures and communicates those endorsements to the public.
