Grassroots Paso Robles Democratic Club

A Word From Our Club President , Steve Young

One of our main goals this year is to increase Democratic voter registration in Paso Robles.  The County Registrar voter registration records show that as of February 1st, there were14,020 registered voters in Paso Robles.  Of those, there were 4,372 registered Democrats, 6,676 registered Republicans, and 2,288 registered as "Decline to State".  The remaining voters are split up between the Green Party, and other lesser known parties.  We are working on a plan to increase our numbers and also to get those already registered to the polls.

It appears that Congress and Bush have worked out a "stimulus" package.  Does anyone really believe that handing out billions of dollars in small increments is going to make any difference in our economic situation?  And remember, we don't have those billions in the Treasury.  It's more funny money that our kids and grandkids will have to repay.  What a crock!  I wonder how Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are going to use their $600?  Maybe buy some junk at WalMart?  That would be stimulating.

Thanks to all who voted in February's primary.  Let's continue to work towards putting a Democrat in the White House and continuing our majorities in both Houses of Congress.  Please remember that Democracy is not a Spectator Sport.  Oh yeah.  The War.  Does anyone remember how that came out?  It's not just the economy Stupid.
